Portland Elopement Photographer // Molly + Michael

Molly + Michael love wholeheartedly, with selflessness and an unwavering amount of support for each other. This was evident in our short, but incredibly difficult journey to our destination. We loved the idea of shooting at a waterfall that not hadn't been the background for an elopement, and we soon found out why....

There's nothing like going off trail all while hauling a wedding dress, tux, florals, and camera gear, all while raining (duh, PNW weather). Add in Spyder Man-eqsue crawling up the rocks, a few wrong turns, and voila: the adventure elopement you've all been waiting for. It's what Instagram really doesn't show you. Was it worth it? Oh, totally.

I'll shut up now.

Allie + Edward // Cape Kiwanda Elopement

Cape Kiwanda Elopement. Cape Kiwanda: My newest favorite place on this planet. It reminded me of just how small we really are. The crashing of the waves. The erosion of the rocks. The deep, unexpected colors. Seriously. This place has my heart.

Kiwanda was a perfect place for Allie + Edward to elope. Their connection is so organic and free-forming. Their love so adventurous and fulfilling. I love couples like this who are willing to do something different for their day. They don't need the fuss and frill of a traditional wedding day, but instead want to celebrate their love in the most freakin' amazing place on this planet.

Let's go and elope, babes.

Angelene + Brent // Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

A Minneapolis boho wedding. The wild, beautiful love that is Angelene & Brent's. These two. So much love, compassion, and depth. Brent, a poet, his love so profound and gentle. Angelene, a spirited soul, her love so effervescent and unhindered.

Damn, these two are so good together.

Like so good.

In lieu of traditional vows, Brent wrote Angelene a poem that perfectly outlines his love for her. With such sincerity in his words, he spoke of their love in a way that was deeper than the traditional surface vows and speak.  Her response? "Not even death can do us part." Insert crying emoji now.

The day was wholeheartedly theirs. From the style and aesthetics (and smoke bombs!) to the ceremony with their favorite people, it was truly a love to celebrate.

Emily + Tyler // Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

It's always an honor to photograph another photographer's wedding. Not only is it an honor, but it's also refreshing as ever simply because they know exactly what they want. Typically, it's unconventional, intimate, beautiful, fuss-free, and almost like the anti-wedding. Wedding photographers, you know what I'm talking about.

As a photographer herself, Emily knew she wanted something super low-key, yet still beautiful and meaningful. She did just that. From the killer maroon suit, to an intimate rooftop ceremony, a quick stop for a Spotted Cow & pull tabs (hello, $200!) and all the good lovin' in the world, Emily + Tyler's day made crossing state lines totally worth it.

Abby + Chris // Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

Oh man, these two are really good at hugging.

Like really good.

During their vows, both stated how they're marrying each other not because they need each other in their lives, but because they want each other in their lives.

That strong desire and love for each other is apparent when he wraps his arms around her and softly rests his head against her shoulders. There is a sense of appreciation, empathy, and selflessness for one another. He takes care of her. She takes care of him. This is so much more than love.
